DOTA 2 is undoubtedly one of the most popular, and active MOBA games as of now. The game was released almost 10 years ago, and to this date, it continues to be one of the most loved, and popular games out there. In fact, not only is it one of the most popular MOBA out there, but is also one of the most actively played games overall. A new year is here, and with it, we are also getting new events, and more importantly, a new battle pass.

Firstly, let’s talk about the new event that got added to the game, Nemestice. This mode is a lot like the normal mode, in the sense that you still have to destroy towers, and push lanes. After doing all of that you would be able to make your way to the crash site, and claim it. The team to first claim the site, wins it. However, there is a very unique mechanic in this new mode. It is the Nemeestice Storm. Every three minutes a Nemestice meteor will be hitting the ground. You can channel this meteorite in order to gain a powerful buff, known as Embercharge. For that, all you have to do is channel for Nemestice Embers. But, what kind of buff it is? Well, what it does is that it increases the movement speed, attack damage, and even spell damage. Furthermore, if you have enough charges, you can also shock the enemies near you. As for the towers, they get stronger each time you destroy an allied building. Oh yes, and there are some new creeps on steroids as well in this mode. These Nemestice-crazed creeps are not only scary to look at but are just as powerful.

That was it for the game mode. But, what about the new battle pass? Well, this time the battle pass is really interesting, but that is the story for most of the battle passes we have had so far. Lots of cosmetics items, unique skins, hero taunts, creep models, etc. However, the most noticeable ones among all of these are the new treasure chests that grant you immortals and unique sets, or bundles. Furthermore, there is also a new persona, this time, it is for Dragon Knight, along with a Spectre Arcana as well. To claim these you would have to level up and reach a certain level.
